Endless cycle tracks, hiking trails and waterways in the city and its surrounding area and the picturesque city centre with its lively shopping precinct, bars, restaurants and cultural activities offer a unique contrast for a relaxing and also exciting camping holiday. 

Around 100 spaces are available for caravans and tents, and mobile home travellers can park at the eight additional bays in front of the campsite. In hot weather the neighbouring outdoor swimming pool which is free of charge for campsite visitors offers a welcome opportunity to cool off.  There is also a children's playground to keep the little ones happy.  All cooking and sanitary facilities were fully modernised in 2007.
